Whilst not as rare as his 1959 24H Du Mans poster showing the Le Mans start, this Beligond poster skillfully captures the speed and excitement of the race. It generates a thrilling sense of dynamism and movement. Beligond is considered one of the great artists of auto-sport. His work is comparable to that of Geo Ham, Jeudon and later, Michael Turner.
The 1963 event, the fourth GP in the season was led from start to finish by Jim Clarke, driving a Lotus. Clark dominated the 1963 F1 season, his tally of seven wins remained unmatched and unbeaten until the Prost/Senna era in the 1980s.
The poster is in excellent condition, linen backed and ready to mount and frame.
