Title: Air France Paris
Year: c. 1957~1962
Artist: Pierre Baudouin (1921-1971)

Country of origin: France

Routes radiate from the Arc de Triumph with Air France's office on the Champs Elysees and the silhouette of the new Boeing 707 the only other identifiable features in this iconic poster.

The earliest print of Baudouin's enduring design for Air France first appeared in the late 1940's using the silhouette of the twin engine DC3. Subsequent changes to the poster mirrored the upgrades of the aircraft fleet, first to the four engine DC4 and finally the silhouette of the Boeing 707 as shown here.

This poster carries two pin holes along the left hand border and three small intrusions into the body of the poster [visible on image]. One small tear along the top edge has been repaired with ph neutral archival tape. The main body of the poster is free of marks, creases or abrasions and is in overall good condition.
