The BOAC 1000 event was part of the World Sports Car Championship from 1970 until 1972, with BOAC being replaced as the sponsor by British Airways in 1974. The 1972 race was won by Mario Andretti and Jackie Ickx driving a Ferrari 312PB.

The artwork for this poster by Dexter Brown was used for all three events running 1970~72 with only the dates changing each year. The poster is in good condition free of any creases, nicks or folds, the edges remain crisp and sharp.
