Title: Germans Rush Troops From Poland
Year: 1939
Artist: unknow/Evening News
Size (cm): 55×79

WW2 Newspaper stand poster from September 1939, the first weeks of the war.
The headlines probably refer to the tentative French invasion of the Saarland Sept.7~16th which was meant to relieve pressure on Poland, then facing the brunt of the German armed forces. The headline suggests hope over reality: the Germans moved no troops from the Eastern to the Western front until organised resistance in Poland had collapsed.
This is a rare historical document. It has been cleaned and lined backed to protect the fragile paper.
