Colin's, famous for the challenging but innovative artwork for Josephine Baker and the “Revue Nègre” in the mid 1920's, is regarded as one of the masters of modern French graphic art. This image, to promote the 1951 International Textile Expo held in Lille, displays Colin's highly individual blend of modernist and art deco styles. It is a very striking image.
The poster exhibits fold lines and some creases as shown. The edges remain sharp and largely free of nicks and scuffs.
