Country of origin: Spain

Begun in 1948, the Fiesta De La Vendimia celebrates the grape harvest and takes place in early September with a procession of girls in traditional dress carrying baskets of grapes, first to be blessed & then to the “treading of the grapes”. The poster captures this, using bunches of grapes to represent the girl’s dress. This is a recurring motif seen in many of these classic Jerez posters and underlies the importance of the sherry industry to the local economy.

The poster is in good condition, un-backed, complete and free from paper loss or tears. There is some impact damage and creasing visible in the upper right corner but this would disappear once framed under a mount.
