Whilst perhaps not the most exciting poster, the product being shown is an absolute design classic; elegant, fashionable and so Italian. Based on an innovative and novel idea, Lambretta, along with its rival Vespa, have been style and design icons since first appearing in the 1940’s post war period. Scooters, popularised in such films as “Roman Holiday” (1953) and later “Quadrophenia” (1979) retain an enduring cultural appeal, a “must” for vintage fans or mods, young or old.

This poster, produced for the French market, shows the versatility of the Lambretta with secondary, outline drawings behind the main image. The poster is in good condition, unbacked, with a few minor creases. It is complete, with no paper loss.
