Based on the logo and print quality, this poster is probably from the post-war period although the image is likely to have been taken pre-war. These photos were used extensively in overseas promotional campaigns from the early 1930’s until 195o. They capture familiar views that are often unchanged and provide a charming insight into the past – a graphic social history.
The poster is in generally good condition, the image is crisp and sharp. There are some small areas of loss, nicks and tearing along all the edges. These are consistent with a poster this age, are largely superficial and do not intrude into the main image – they would be hidden once framed under a mount.
